Consequences of the metabolic division according to Marx

Karl Marx described the consequences of the metabolic division in Capital: 

Large landed property reduces agricultural population to a minimum and increases industrial population excessively (people cram in large towns).

This causes an irreparable division in the interdependent process of social metabolism: a process prescribed by Nature. Trade carries the soil beyond the country and reduces its vitality.
